Snow, hail, and rain are what Pearl Izumihad in mind when it perfected the Elite Barrier WxB Jacket. These days, it's easy to produce a waterproof and breathable garment, as the WxB is, but one that performances on two-wheels requires more than fancy materials -- it takes experience. To protect you from the worst of weather conditions, the Elite Barrier WxB mixes two- and three-layer technology. The body is constructed from a two-layer laminate that features the Titanium fabric for added thermo-regulation. This keeps warmth in, but it's also designed to allow ample stretch for unrestricted movement. This is essential to providing complete coverage in the many stretched positions of cycling. The three-layer material is found on the Elite Barrier's sleeves. The added layer increases comfort against the skin, and enhances the Barrier's wicking performance. An asymmetrical shape to the sleeves' cuffs allow a perfect, weather-tight interface with gloves. Also establishing the Elite's ultimate weather protection are fully-taped, internal seams. For further protection, a waterproof front zipper features an internal draft flap to prevent cold breezes from penetrating. Completing the picture is a full treatment of reflective elements that increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions. The Pearl Izumi Elite Barrier WxB Jacket is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/black, Screaming Yellow/black, and True Red/black.

Read the care content label; On the inside of your garment, or on the hangcard, there are instructions for the care of that individual piece; On garments this will be on a side seam or back seam label. Follow those directions; On finer fabrics, use a "Gentle" cycle. Close all zippers, attach "hook and loop" closures on gloves You can use the dryer, carefully; If you use a dryer be sure to use a lower / warm heat setting (Do NOT use a commercial dryer or a "Hot" setting); This will often restore the fabric and help the water and wind repellent qualities; If in doubt, hang the clothing to dry.
